Virtual Class

Well at first I was really skeptical about taking online classes and how it would work out for me as I tend to procrastinate.  But it has actually worked out for me and helped me with my time management skills.  I love the flexibility of online school, the fact that I can do my work throughout the week at my own pace and when I want is a great thing.  I can definitely see how it could be stressful to some if you are not focused.  You have a week to finish your work and if you don’t manage your time that week will go by fast.  I think taking online classes there is more work involved then going to a ground class.  With online classes you really have to show the Professors you are learning the material you are covering.  I am a people person, so the only thing that is tough is not really getting to know your classmates.  I am not sure how that will improve over time or if that will even change at all but it will be interesting to see as I finish my online degree.  I have one fear about taking online classes although I know that the school I go to is accredited I am just worried that when an employer looks to see where I went to school they might be hesitant verses the person that went to a known ground school.  Let’s say I am applying to a job and someone with the same qualifications as me is applying, they went to University of Blank and I went to University of Online will the employer look at our education and choose them over me just because online college is just becoming popular in recent years? 

In An Instant

I don’t understand why we work 5 days and only get 2 days off.  Can someone please shed some light on this?  Can we make it a more even trade like work 4 days and have 3 days off?  Or can you just give me a million dollars so I can stop working? Is a million dollars even enough to retire anymore?  Sorry that was a lot of questions but I seem to always have questions and no answers and the randomness’ things will come into my mind at the weirdest times.  I am using this blog to clear my head for the day.

            I had a great weekend went to pick up my daughter on Friday and each day I realize she is more like me.  It is amazing to look at such a little person and see yourself in that person that you created.  Just from the facial stand point I see my smile my nose, my dimple and my what daddy I didn’t do it look that I used to give my mom.  Then from there her personality is like me to, stubborn and thinks she knows everything. Then the worst part she has this look that if she is doing something wrong and she knows I am mad makes this face that just melts my heart.  God I can’t even get mad at her with this look, it’s like my kryptonite.  Yesterday I was driving her to her mom’s house she fell asleep and she started snoring just like daddy lol. 

            I had a great time with my family this weekend soccer game Saturday morning, then out to Daytona Beach to see some of the bikes that were here for bike week and hang out with a great friend at his coffee shop, then out to eat at Tijuana flats.  MMMM I love there megajuana burrito it’s so good.  If you have a Tijuana flats in your area and you have never been I really suggest it.

            It is amazing you have a great weekend, but you never know about anyone else’s weekend how it is going, or in an instant one person’s life could be changing while you are having a good time.  I came to work Monday morning to find out that one of my coworker’s son was killed by his step dad at 15 years old.  This guy also shot his own kid and then himself over an argument he had with his wife.  I can only imagine what this coworker of mine is thinking or going through right now.  Actually I probably can’t even come close.  One man’s world changed in an instant.

  Well I am not even really sure what a blog is used for to be honest with you.  I use FB to post all of my thoughts or things I come across so not really sure as to how often I will use a blog.  The reason I did create this blog is for a class that I am taking.  I am currently enrolled in Kaplan University for Health Information Managment, if it wasnt for this class I would never have created a blog.
