I love criticism; it is a great thing in getting honest responses to improve you. I think sometimes people take them so personally and sometimes people are very harsh when criticizing someone’s work. There needs to be a fine line of helping someone with their work and just being rude. For me I don’t care what people say I will take whatever they have to say in a good way. For my topic Genetically Modified Foods it is surprising that there really isn’t that much material I have found on the topic, yes there is material but its not what I would consider good material that would benefit my writing. I really have to sift through the material that I have found and find the good points to put into my paper.

6 Weeks…….
Well I have to say that the last 6 weeks are just like the last year in school has been, stressful, tiresome, hard, rewarding, and just amazing to see what I can really do. The last six weeks have been really stressful as I am taking two five credit classes and the amount of work in them has been kind of overwhelming. I figured in one of my classes I would be able to handle it easily because it is something I really like to study which is the human body. But the work that this class requires is amazing, I have never heard of having a pre quiz and then every week having a quiz. I am not a tester by any means so for me to take a quiz every week is not helping my grade for that class at all. I have tough time writing and never thought that it would be my better class. I guess we change as we get older, our tastes our likes and our talents. This past week has been kind of tough to as I have been sick for most of the last week and not feeling that much better as I sit here and write this blog. I was just trying to write a 3 page draft and because of the medication I just cannot stay focused. I will do more of my work on this paper tomorrow just hoping that I feel better. Well bloggers I am off for some much needed rest, good night!

School is cool!!!!
I have to say writing is not one of my strong suites, however I do enjoy to do it. I am not a professional writer by any means but if I have a topic I like, I can write forever. My best writing style is freewriting, where I can just get a topic and write whatever is on my mind without worrying about editing, spelling or order. I think the best ideas come from the mind when there is no worries about what is being written. Later you can go back and edit it, but for me its like brainstorming but actually writing out all your thoughts.
My academic challenges is time, I have a very busy schedule with two jobs plus school. So learning how to balance everything and schedule things is very important to me and very challenging at the same time. It also stops me from being able to join in on the seminars, which is a great way to get to know your professor and classmates. I really like going to seminars and I hope that more of them go to flex seminars, although it may not be my actual classmates I will still get interaction with students that are studying the same thing as me.
I contemplated going to school for a long time, after so long of not being in school it seemed like a daunting task. But I have to say it is the best decision I have made and I am confident I am doing the right thing no matter what sacrificies I have to make to do it. At times it makes it stressful trying to figure out when I will have the time to do the work, but at the end of the day I get it done regardless. There just have been so many positives since going back to school it is really amazing I wish I would have done it sooner. But as they say everything happens for a reason and it just wasn’t right for me back then. I am so happy to know that once I am done school I will be able to have my life back to normal get a great career and be able to provide to my family everything they need. School is cool!!!!

What a weekend
Well I have to say I was really excited for this past weekend, but even that it surpassed my excitement. I flew up to Boston to spend some time with my family and go to a Halloween party. I flew in Friday night and from that point on I was in food heaven, there is nothing like going home and eating at some of your favorite places growing up on that you don’t get to have often now because you live so far away. My sister bought me a sub from this place we used to go to a lot; I can taste it now a roast beef sub with so much meat on it you can’t even close it. Picture this so much meat in the sub, they can’t even put any toppings on it but a few sprinkles of pickles, lettuce and onions. Most places you go to they fill it with toppings but with this place they fill it with some of the best roast beef I have ever had. After that my step dad had a small fire going outside and we watched some basketball (Go Celtics). Saturday morning I woke up to my sister asking if I wanted to go have lunch. We went to a steakhouse and met up with a friend. I got to hand pick my 14 oz NY strip with my choice of loaded baked potato. Then we went out and did some shopping at a few stores and this is where it got even better. As we were walking around the local cable network had a booth setup giving away some free stuff, as we walked by they asked us if we had scratched off a ticket. We all got one, my sisters and friend went first they all won a flashlight. As I scratched mine I said HDTV I handed it to the lady and started to walk away, I thought they would put it in a raffle and call me later. To my surprise she stopped me and said where are you going you can take this home you won this 32” LCD TV. Awesome I don’t have an LCD tv at my house this is my first one so I will ship it down. Great weekend so far but now it was time to get ready for our Halloween party, I was dressed as Jon Bon Jovi long hair tight shirt, guitar I was looking rock n roll. We had a great night playing beer pong until 3 am. Now its Sunday and its football day Patriots vs. Vikings patriots won and my step dad cooked corn chowda (NE Accent there) . This was my weekend I had such a great time I am missing it so much right now, but I just got the tv today via UPS and hooked it up and it is amazing. What a great weekend, gotta love family!!!
Is it blurred?
I have to say with the internet it is so easy to find so much information so fast. There are several different ways to get information, like youtube, google, wikepedia, and web articles. It definitely is not blurred as far as legally owned material. If you did not create it then you have no reason not to use the proper citation guidelines to give the author the credit for it, just because it is on the internet doesn’t mean someone shouldn’t get credit for their work. It does make it hard though I think to check to make sure the proper person has been given credit with many people just reposting things and not citing the source they got that material from.
