End of Class

Wow end of the semester already, writing is not my best thing but I had a lot of fun in this class.  I am even writing in a blog and I think it is something that I will continue to use as a way to free my mind.  My advice for writing a scientific paper is to do your outline, research it and do your draft so you have plenty of time to edit it.  It is amazing how fast the class goes and putting off writing will lead you to rushing your work.  I still need so much improvement on APA formatting it for me is really difficult to get used to and seems that there are so many rules.  I would like to thank my professor Dr. Julie Pal without her making the class interesting it would have been a real struggle for me.  Also her attention to her students is amazing, it was always great to open up your email and have something from her encouraging you.  To the class thank you all for helping make me better.  I received a lot of great constructive criticism to make my paper better.

Final Paper

Well my final paper is still being worked on and will be finished this weekend.  I found this paper actually harder than I thought it was going to be to write about.  I think the topic I chose just didn’t have that much great information as I thought it would.  I feel a combination of nervous, accomplished and tired.  The last few weeks of any semester is stressful and rewarding all in one.  With so much work its great to know that you are done and have completed another chapter on your way to finishing school.  I like writing its just not one of my strong suites, but it is something that is interesting and will have to do in future classes as well as work.  I would like to research cancer and its effect on the human body.  I think cancer is a very serious disease and something that affects millions of people worldwide.  I eventually plan to go into cancer registry to track trends of patients dealing with cancer and see if there is anything related to locations and things of that nature.  Well I have to end this blog to finish the rest of my class work.  Yall come back now ya hear!

Week 8

Wow it’s so interesting how these classes just fly by.  It seems like I just started college comp II, but yet here we are with the end near.  Its always stressful towards the end focusing on your final work and preparing for your tests mixed in with your regular course materials.  Time management is definitely key towards the end of the semester. 

My class has been great and I have gotten some great feedback.  It is tough because we have so many people to review that we don’t get that many pier reviews.  Plus everyone has so much work to do that they do the minimum reviews and cannot worry about doing anymore.  I am included in this; I have two papers two write as well as a test to prepare for so I can only do so much. 

As far as the blog the way I look at it is it is a way for me to talk about what has happened in class or in my personal life.  If someone comments that is great, if not I am ok with that as well.  I am not really sure if I will keep blogging; I use Facebook and Twitter to posts my thoughts out to people, although not in detail as a blog would be, it’s just easier for me to write something that takes two seconds.  I really don’t know what I will do, but it will be interesting as class ends whether or not I will keep blogging.  I guess stay tuned to see if I do. lol
